Tara C Hill is an award-winning orchestral and choral composer for film, television, video games, and musical theater working in Los Angeles, California. Tara began her career in the realm of choral composition and worked as a choir director for several years. Her choral music is contracted and published with Santa Barbara Music Publishing, Inc. Tara also spent time as a vocal and orchestral director for a theater company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. There she was known for her attention to detail and ability to connect with performers of all ages in bringing together an excellent musical production. 

Tara studied music theory and composition at the undergraduate level and earned a Masters in composition from the Weitzenhoffer College of Fine Arts at the University of Oklahoma in 2017. She is an accomplished pianist and prolific composer of both chamber and orchestral music. Her recent film credits include the feature  documentary Testament (2024) and short film Sad Rabbit (2024). Her piece The Arrival won best track at CueTube's TTS Challenge in July 2023, and The Christmas Market won the same contest in January 2024. Her re-score for the short animation Wing It earned her a spot as a finalist at Score Relief 2024.

Tara is currently an in-house composer with Ruach Entertainment, composing music for two video games in development.
